I'm number 8!

This was my favorite potluck ever!

On November 4, 2012 Family of Faith Fellowship had a chili cookoff!
The video will be at the end of the post, if you would like to watch it.

Well, the organizers of the potluck decided they wanted to do something special for November and they settled on a chili cookoff.

When they announced it, I instantly got an idea! A cheap prank sure to get me a trophy, but the best prank I will have pulled off in a while. There were 3 categories: Most Unique, Most Tasty, and of course Spiciest/Hottest.

I needed help with some of my old co-workers. Shane Harkins helped me get the sauce along with his girlfriend. I wanted "spontaneous combustion" sauce, but he told me that "ghost" sauce was way hotter/spicier. I instantly changed my mind and simply begged him to get it for me. I didn't know where to get such spicy sauces, so I relied on him. And the day before, he set out to get it. It was really expensive and I wasn't expecting a prank to cost nearly $30.

It was worth it though.

When he dropped it off, I was at work. So, my other co-workers saw what I had just received. They made their comments and I busted out laughing. I shouldn't laugh at such things.

Well, the time of the competition came and everybodies chili's were being given to the judges. I couldn't find mine until I went into the kitchen and saw that somebody set it aside. I thought, "This is so perfect!"
I poured five cups of cold spicy chili.
I came out and asked, "Which spot is open?"
They all answered in unison, "Number 8."

I'm number 8.

I set all five chili cups down and ran for my video camera.

I came in and they had already started tasting.

I was trying my hardest not to laugh and give it away. I felt guilty doing it, but it was hilarious at the same time. I was afraid of giving somebody a heart attack because this sauce was so intensely hot. The results were a fun time and me enjoying my new "Most Spicy" trophy.
