Watercolor

A few weeks ago I really got into watercolor paints.

I was inspired by MaryDoodles on YouTube.
What a great way to deal with the love of videos and the love of art.
The video of hers that really got me is called Time Machine.

I fell in love with the story, the music she used, and the style of art/medium.

Watercolor, this is where I start.
I never saw art from this perspective.
I was always more goal oriented rather than enjoying the adventure.

Again, this one person from my past that I refer so much to, has taught me to do so.
I now know what it feels like to put yourself into your art.
So much to display and wanting to get everything perfect. The way I wanted it to come out.
This isn't entirely what she taught me, but my take in addition to her perspective.

Like I said, goal oriented, and also a perfectionist.
So, her p.o.v. combined with mine.
A brand new perspective! Taadaa!

Watercolor, my first one was of a professional triathlete named Chrissie Wellington.
Cool human being that won the IronMan World Championship Triathlon.

My second project was a video game character that I used to dream of being.
From the great series, The Legend of Zelda, Link.

Now I am going to do picture of a cartoon dog that speak, yeah, she speaks and speaks and speaks. -.-' get it? I'm doing it for my neice because we used to watch that all of the time. I mean. . .when I was taking care of her, she loved to watch it. XD Nah, I loved it too!

So, this is what I'm doing for now. In my free time that is. I'm still working at my car dealership and enjoying every minute of it. I get to meet a ton of people and observe different character dynamics.

Watercolor, I used to just love red, silver, grey, white and black. Now, I love color! I am very fond of Red and that will always dominate all colors for me. But lately, I've been very appealed to purple, yellow and blue for some reason. Season of life I guess?

Yeah, watercolor.

A Reflection on Passions

This past week I've been thinking about what to do with my career life.

I've taken a step back from everything and observed how it has benefited me and those around me.

Some of my hobbies annoys people or makes me distant to people.

I love balloon twisting. Others call it balloon art. Balloon decorations. Ballooning.
Whatever it may be to you, it's all the same.
I love having challenges and look to better myself at it.
It puts me in a good mood unless I inhale the inner lining.
I have fun doing it. Creating things from balloons, not inhaling the inner lining. XD

And, the results makes others glad in their hearts. Happy too.

Triathlons.
Woof!
I love cycling for miles on end.

Running too.
Swimming. . . . .meh.
This benefits my health and such, but still nobody really cares about it.

My job.
I work at a car dealership and it has it's ups and downs.
I've gotten so high in that career in such little time.
Others think I should keep moving forward. Well, everybody does.
I'm hesitant to do anything more than what I originally set out to do.
I had a conversation. . . .more a lecture from somebody who feels that their purpose in life is to be vexed for all eternity and that they were chosen to be so miserable so that others could be glad. *rolls eyes*
Don't give me that.
Nobody was designed to be like that except one!

And it wasn't to be miserable, it was to be a sacrifice!

Let's get back on track.
A lecture from a depressed ignorant person who feels I'm chosen to be glad because she's chosen to be depressed. *sigh of dissapointment* Some people don't understand a gift that has been given freely without a burden.

Ballooning is fun and I am getting plenty of work opportunities for it.
It pays better than my job.
So, I'm in a situation where everything is an option again.

I've come to a fork in the road.
Gonna pick it up and head in the direction that serves best!

Single on Valentine's Day

Every person who is single, usually says Valentine's Day is the lamest holiday ever.

Or so that's what I've heard.

I don't mind it. Some of my past blogs show otherwise, but I've got some new views that I've learned since then.

I don't think anybody reads this, but it helps me to express my thoughts to myself, especially after such a long break from writing.

Allow me to show some new views to being single. It can help. . . .I hope

What's so good about being single:
1. Primarily, this would have to be friends. (This will tie in with others in this list, so be patient on full explanations, they'll get longer.) You can have as many friends as you like and can spend time with them.

2. Devotion to friends. One thing about friends is, they don't go away that easily unless you don't ever want to hear from them again. I've had a friend from about two years ago and we barely communicate. I would say maybe one text message every two months. They know I care for them, so why be obsessed over a friendship? In a relationship, you "have to" spend time with that person constantly. If you're in a relationship, I don't mean have to in a bad way, you should want to. Single people, you don't "have to" spend time with just one person. A relationship takes up so much time and can take away time for other friends. Keep in mind, that a relationship should never wither the friendships outside of that relationship or it could become unhealthy. Wouldn't you miss a friend if they were constantly denying time with you for their love? I sure would. Being single, you can probably just drop what you're doing and be there for a friend.

3. Hobbies. I know when I first heard this I thought it was a lame attempt at making an article or a book, but it's true. This still has to do with devotion to the other person. If you are single, enjoy the things you love to do! I'm training for triathlons and the distances that I go for training are intense. Not many people are willing to run 10 miles every day. I also love doing balloon sculptures for people. Not many people are impressed with twisting balloons, they're just impressed with the results. So, I enjoy the company of myself for a season.

4. Character developement. This is probably what every single person should want to do. Develope a strong character that isn't dependant on a significant other. If a person is attached to their love, what happens when they leave? They need attention. That is a recipe for disaster my friend! Terrible things happen when somebody wants attention. They can be dishonest in their devotion to their love. Yes, that's what I mean. Developing a strong character before entering a relationship can be healthy for the relationship as well. If you have developed a great character and started a relationship with somebody they can love you for who you are a lot quicker! Think smart! No girl wants a man who can't work. No guy wants a girl who just wants the world. Celebrating differences as well as similarities in a relationship is what it's all about. So prepare for what you want in a relationship. Do you want children, do you want pets, do you want motorcycles for both or cars for both? Small house or large one? Move out of state or stay in state? Get to know what your goals in life are first!

5. Probably what most people want to hear is, Singleness is only a season. Think of people and friendships as seasons. There are enjoyable times to cherish, but in a heart beat, those people can pass right on through. I don't mean go through people by dating a lot of them, but go through friendships and figure out what attracts you the most? Other than temporal things. Something greater than looks. Something greater than intelligence. Something better than strength. Go to a retirement home and pick out which person you want to marry. Can you base it on looks? Can you base it on strength? On intelligence? On acheivements? Certainly Not! They have all mostly come to the same result. Just that. Look for things that will last. Who the person is. There are all types of people. Out going, timid, outspoken, bold, upfront, controlling, laid back, highly organized, highly disorganized, introverts, extroverts, passionate, unpassionate, the relaxed, the worried. Do you know what kind of person you would rather be around? Most people want to be friends with those who want them. That kind of attitude doesn't get anybody anywhere. If everybody was like that, how can somebody approach another? So, develope a habit of speaking first. Whether it's saying hello first or waving hello first. People can pass on by and not even think you exist. Some people will be like a dog when they see you, getting all excited and looking forward to something better in the day.

Valentine's Day isn't so bad.
A big part of it is commercialized and that's the only side you hear.
Take a different view on being single.

It's only a season that will pass.

The Most Perfect

Imagine you are in the exact place you would love to be.
Not just for vacation, but to be there to live.
Can you imagine it?
Do you even have a place?

A lot of people say France because that's the most romantic place in the world.
Others, Hawaii, for relaxation.

The most perfect answer I've heard.

Home.

Saying that, it definitely wouldn't be my answer.

I just said it was the most perfect answer, yes? So why not?

My home now isn't suitable for a dream.
Not where I would say it's perfect.
When I heard that person say home.
Thoughts came to my head.

A wife.
Maybe, MAYBE, a child.
A cat. or a dog, if my wife wants one instead.
A Mustang.
A nice sized house. Not small.
An Olympic sized pool.
A nice place to run.
A beautiful place to cycle.

Suddenly, it's not a perfect answer anymore.

Is it?

New Responsibilities

*sigh of relief*

I miss being here, writing, to nobody.

If you read this, why don't you comment?
I love communication.

Recently I was supposed to become a manager at my job. Already!

I know. I just started.

Those who were there before me don't like me. "/

But hey. . . .
Whatcha gonna do?

The bosses think I deserve that position, it's for a reason that the bosses approve of.

Then, one of my counselors made me an administrator to the website to upload videos and outlines.

Exciting.

I love my job.

I love computers, audio and visuals.

So,

Why am I sad?

A Return from Depression

A while ago I got myself into a bit of anatomy trouble.

I fractured my ribs. Made a nice crack in most of them in my right side.

Okay, getting way ahead of myself.

In my EXS125 class, exercise science, I had to do a semester project.
Mine was to get more fit to get a better time trial personal record.
At the time, I was able to cycle a good thirty miles per hour.

People don't like to believe me, but other cyclist called me the red bullet.
I have a red and white bike, but I always wore red when doing a time trial.
I would constantly out perform most cyclist and they gave me that title.

Then at the end of the semester I improved a good amount, two miles per hour more.
That might not sound like a big difference, but it is. Trust me.

One day after a ride, I "fell" off of my bike.
I ended up fracturing my ribs and all of my hard work went down the drain.
This set off my depression.
Everything was in my reach.
Finally having a confident time to enter a big time race and having the chance to win.
Taken from me in a few seconds.

It's been three months since I've gotten on my bike.
When I did.
It was as though the world became quiet.

All of my past issues were suddenly gone.
All of the abuse given and taken.
The crying and anguish.
Loneliness.
For that time.

Silenced.

Now I'm back in classes.
Have a steady job.
And my passion for cycling has come back.

One thing I learned.
Motivation can only get you so far.
Discipline can get you farther.

During this time of wanting to get away from my bike.
I said I quit.
I believe I posted something about it one here.

Don't be like that.
Don't think like that.
Don't pity yourself.
Don't try to live on motivation.
Live for a purpose.

My purpose?
Christ.

July 5

This is one of the greatest days of the year.

Why?

Because it's your birthday.

Yes, I remembered. I hope I never forget.

You know how people say, "This year will be better than last year," or, "That was when I had the most fun."

Don't listen to them.

Every day should be the best day.

Now, you're one year older.

I wish I could say more.

I wish I could give you a gift.

One that you would love.

Something for your artistry.

Pastels maybe. I bet you would love those.

You were always so patient with your drawings.

Trust me, I learned what it was like to put yourself into your drawings.

Every piece of art that you drew, I knew was perfect. I didn't go about it that way, but they are.

Why?

Because they have you in them.

Now I'm drifting.

The best thing I can say right now.

That's. . .

Happy Birthday.
